i recently got the reatltime kernel from aur for my multimedia needs.
Yes ..things when out well ...got my video driver reinstalled again ...and gotten the low latency i wanted
However , when i do play games or any thing that produces intensive sounds , the system would just lock up on me ...I managed to get a quick glimpse at top before the system crashed and i realised cpu usage was maxed..
So ...i was wondering if there is any way to trottle the cpu usage of the sound ( realtime threaded) applications
my /etc/security/limits.conf
@audio hard rtprio 100
@audio hard nice -1
@audio hard memlock 1048576
my /etc/sysctl.conf
dev.rtc.max-user-freq=1024
dev.hpet.max-user-freq=1024
fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 524288
is there anything wrong in the settings? ( and more info required? )
i still get those hangs when i play games and so on...3d games like urban terror...and so on
is there anywy to fix this?
