Well i burnt the cd loaded it up but when it comes to doing a system update it fails on me plus i wanted to use pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils to install the drivers maybe someone has a remaster instead of installing all them xf86-video-input files maybe just install nvidia..

as i tried allsorts of ways but had no luck

look for nouveau driver,the output of "lsmod" will give you a hint.

also check your mkinitcpio.conf,files under /etc/modprobe.d/ and your rc.conf for possible nouveau entry.

try unloading nouveau then install nvidia and nvidia-utils.
